Security Operations Engineer Microsoft Security Technologies Contract Outside IR35 Hybrid: 3-day onsite (Bank Station) OR Liverpool office Rate: £350-£400/day (Outside IR35) Contract Duration: Initial 6 months with a potential extension Industry: Highly Regulated Environment Job Summary: Seeking for a Security Operations Engineer to join one of our highly regulated client on a contract basis. You''ll be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security threats across Microsoft and hybrid environments. You''ll play a key role in safeguarding critical business systems through proactive threat hunting, incident response, detection engineering, and operational support of core security programmes. Key responsibilities: Investigate and respond to escalated security incidents and events Perform event-based and policy-based threat hunting activities Develop and maintain threat detections within Microsoft Defender XDR Support network security monitoring and detection capabilities using Zscaler Analyse security alerts, identify risks, and coordinate remediation activities Provide technical and operational support for Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives Support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programmes and associated controls Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security and Technology teams to strengthen overall security posture Contribute to continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection and response capabilities Assist with ..... full job details .....
