SiXworks an IBM company .We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SOC Analyst to join our existing experienced team.You will have a challenging, vastly interesting, and technically diverse role, working on fast moving, innovative and influential work that is underway in the Defence and Security Sector.Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Leading shifts throughout 24/7 SOC Service DeliveryProviding oversight and management to Junior AnalystsMonitoring of Systems for Security Alerts, Intrusions or activity considered to be unauthorised, unexpected or illegalResponding to incidents, utilising a catalogue of playbooksEscalation of complex incidents to Tier 2 Incident Response TeamsReview and develop existing security controls in line with a constantly growing technical environmentTriage and Review Vulnerability Scanning Reports, feeding results back into technical teamsReview Secure Configurations, feeding back into technical teams for remediations of issuesGenerate recurring service and security reports for key stakeholdersFeedback service improvement ideas to the SOC ManagerKeep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trendsResearch and develop understanding of security as a disciplineExperience (Essential)

Previous experience in Security, SOC or related technical field with desired, specific focus onVulnerability ManagementRelevant qualification(s) in Cyber Security, or other related technical rolesExamplesProfessional Qualifications from organisations such as CompTIA, ISACA etc.Technical qualifications in security and technology such as (but not limited to) cloud computing, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning/Management etc.Understanding of some (or all) of the following

Key Concepts of Cloud ComputingSecurity Incident ManagementInformation Security (CIA)Phishing, Ransomware and other key threatsIDAM (Identity and Access Mgmt)JML (Joiners, Movers and Leavers Processes)Security AwarenessInformation ClassificationExperience (Nice to have)
