Tackling challenges of hardware and cyber threats for UK defence North Hertfordshire; to c 75,000 DoE + Benefits + Bonus This dedicated defence consultancy provides expertise in defence and cyber security, focusing on innovations and emerging software and hardware. Their consultants assess critical technology systems, pinpointing potential vulnerabilities and providing fundamental-physics-based solutions (rather than temporary IT patches). Their clients are leading industry and national defence partners, and projects they work on underpin major infrastructure. As a Security Engineering Consultant, you will be using your experience to identify potential hardware or physical cyber threats, develop proof-of-concepts which can be demonstrated, and bring to fruition recommendations for security solutions. Note projects may rapidly evolve as the technology landscape evolves which means multi-year programmes of support. Requirements: Strong academic background (1st / 2.1 degree in computer science, physics or similar), and extensive demonstrable engineering understanding of electronics hardware, sensors, and complex systems within real world applications. Experience building and developing hardware prototypes for security applications and subsequently demonstrating their use (ideally relating to RF, firmware, network communications of similar).
