Security Engineer

Security Engineer £50,000 basic salary Hours 09:00 - 17:30 25 days holiday + bank holidays Contributory pension Location: Redhill Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to take responsibility for the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of cybersecurity across internal and customer networks and systems. The role will work closely with Security, IT, Compliance and Engineering teams, providing technical expertise in network security, incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring. The successful candidate will act as a key technical authority and provide third-line support for complex security issues. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement security policies, standards, procedures and technical controls. Design, build, test and troubleshoot security solutions across internal and customer networks. Act as a technical centre of excellence for network and device security. Monitor and investigate security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS and other security tools. Investigate and resolve security incidents and provide incident response support. Manage vulnerabilities and support penetration testing and security assessments. Provide through-life cybersecurity support and recommend improvements. Provide third-line technical support for complex network security issues. Produce and maintain security configurations, schematics, procedures and technical documentation.
