Security and Welfare Officers Salary: Starting at £24,215 progressing to £27,319 per annum Type: Permanent, Full-time Hours: Average 35 hours per week full-time: flexibility required for night shifts, working a 4 on 4 off rota pattern to include weekends and bank holidays. The Role The Security and Welfare Officers work as part of the Security and Welfare team within the IT and Estates directorate to ensure the safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors. The team provide a reassuring, supportive and welcoming presence delivering the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, whilst also protecting and caring for the RAU estate and buildings. There may be opportunities to work additional hours/overtime to cover for colleagues absences, and to assist during busy periods and events. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols, promptly addressing security and safety issues Provide first point of contact support during out-of-hours, prioritizing welfare incidents Monitor and maintain health, safety, and maintenance standards Supervise access to residences, ensuring compliance with procedures Respond efficiently to fire alarms and coordinate with emergency ..... full job details .....
