Security Analyst - £45,000 - £50,000 - Reading - HybridFryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading UK Managed Service Provider (MSP) to recruit a Security Analyst based in Reading.The successful candidate will play a key role in security operations, incident response, threat detection and automation, helping to protect customer environments while continuously improving security platforms and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full security incident lifecycle, from investigation through to resolution.Monitor, investigate and respond to security events across cloud, identity and endpoint environments.Design, implement and optimise SIEM detection rules to improve threat detection and reduce false positives.Develop and maintain security automation using SOAR platforms, Logic Apps, Python and APIs.Conduct proactive threat hunting and perform root cause analysis following security incidents.Support endpoint security, identity protection and vulnerability management initiatives.RequirementsExperience within a SOC environment.Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR and SOAR platforms.Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, Darktrace or similar security technologies.Experience monitoring and securing Azure and AWS environments.Knowledge of ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Desirable SkillsCISSP and/or Microsoft Security certifications (SC-200, SC-300 or SC-400).Experience ..... full job details .....
