Section Engineer - Highways

HS2 is one of the UK''s largest infrastructure projects, delivering major civil engineering and highways works across the route. We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join the delivery team in Chipping Warden, supporting the successful construction of highways, earthworks and associated infrastructure packages. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate engineering activities across designated sections of works. Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with design specifications. Oversee setting out activities and verify accuracy of surveys and site controls. Review and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation. Produce, manage and maintain as-built records and as-built drawings. Support quality assurance processes, including ITPs, inspections and testing requirements. Liaise with the site management team, subcontractors, designers and survey teams. Monitor progress against programme and assist with short-term planning. Ensure compliance with HS2, client and company procedures. Identify and resolve technical issues to maintain productivity and quality standards. Assist with material take-offs, procurement requirements and engineering documentation. Essential Requirements Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Previous experience as a Section Engineer, Site Engineer or Senior Engineer on major infrastructure projects.
