Section Engineer

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major Tier 1 highways project in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on one of the UK''s most significant civil engineering projects, working within a collaborative delivery team on complex and challenging works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards whilst supporting the wider engineering and site management teams. Key Responsibilities Managing and coordinating site engineering activities within your allocated section of works. Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications, drawings and programme requirements. Overseeing setting out activities and managing engineering records. Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation. Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards. Undertaking inspections and maintaining accurate as-built records. Identifying and resolving technical issues in collaboration with the design and construction teams. Supporting planning and programme delivery within your section. Requirements Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering. Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
