Section Engineer - Lower Thames Crossing Location: Lower Thames Crossing Start Date: Immediate Contract: 3.5 months initially, with a guaranteed extension for the right contractor Rate: 500 per day Umbrella PAYE Hours: 10-hour days, Monday to Friday Weekends: No weekends currently required A major infrastructure project is currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join the team on the Lower Thames Crossing, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for a Section Engineer with strong civil engineering experience to work on a major infrastructure programme, overseeing site engineering activities across gas diversions, drainage and enabling works associated with the A13, including works involving 22 bridges.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing setting out activities using Total StationManaging and reviewing 3-week lookahead programmesManaging permits and ensuring works are appropriately authorisedCompleting material and quantity take-offsMentoring and supporting Site EngineersWorking closely with Site Agents, Project Managers and the wider engineering teamSupporting the delivery of gas diversion, drainage and enabling worksEnsuring engineering activities are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project requirementsMonitoring progress and resolving engineering issues on siteRequirements:Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering/infrastructure projectsStrong setting out experience using Total ..... full job details .....
