Section Engineer Prince of Wales Bridge Special Bridge Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) The Opportunity Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Section Engineer to join their Special Bridge Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) team, supporting the ongoing maintenance and renewal of the iconic Prince of Wales Bridge. Working in partnership with National Highways, our client is responsible for maintaining some of the UK''s most critical infrastructure assets. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring the continued safety, reliability and longevity of one of the country''s most important strategic crossings. As Section Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of inspection, maintenance and renewal works, coordinating engineering activities from planning through to completion while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance. What You''ll Be Doing As a Section Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Supporting the delivery of bridge inspection, maintenance and renewal projects from planning through to completion. Taking ownership of allocated work packages, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget. Undertaking site inspections, engineering surveys, defect assessments and technical investigations. Coordinating site activities, including access arrangements, traffic management and works planning.
