Section Engineer

About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highways construction project in Grays, Essex. Reporting to the Sub Agent or Site Agent, you will play a key role in delivering complex highway and civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This role is ideal for an engineer with strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and experience delivering major infrastructure projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the engineering delivery of a designated section of works.Lead and mentor Site Engineers and Engineering Assistants.Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.Coordinate engineering activities across multiple work fronts.Review and approve setting out information and ensure engineering controls are maintained.Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Check Sheets, and handover documentation are completed accurately and on time.Review and approve method statements and risk assessments, ensuring compliance throughout delivery.Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to the project team.Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to maintain programme.Liaise with the client, designers, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and coordinate interfaces.Ensure design changes are communicated and implemented ..... full job details .....
