The role will focus on the technical review of developers'' design submissions for adoptable highway infrastructure, helping to improve approval turnaround times and maintain compliance with local and national standards. Key Responsibilities: Appraise submitted highway designs against relevant local and national standards Review technical proposals for adoptable highway infrastructure under Sections 38 and 278 of the Highways Act Identify design issues and provide clear technical feedback to developers'' designers and consultants Liaise with developers, consultants and internal stakeholders to progress submissions towards technical approval Support the Senior Design Engineer with the assessment and processing of applications Ensure design submissions reach a technically approvable standard Manage workloads independently and contribute to reducing application backlogs and delays Support the development of a future pre-submission technical advice service Job Requirements: Experience in the technical approval or review of highway designs Background ...
