Secondary Tutor

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Face-to-Face Tutor to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils in the Pickering area of North Yorkshire.

This role offers the chance to help learners re-engage with education, rebuild confidence and make meaningful progress in core subjects through structured 1:1 tuition.

Most students receive approximately 10 - 15 hours of tuition per week. Sessions can take place in schools, alternative provisions, community settings or the learner''s home.

The Role

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Maths and English
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs or gaps in education
• Build positive professional relationships
• Monitor progress and adapt strategies
• Liaise with schools and support teams as required

The Ideal Tutor Will:

• Have experience teaching or tutoring in KS3 or KS4
• Be confident delivering Maths and/or English
• Demonstrate patience, adaptability and a calm approach
• Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Hold QTS, QTLS, PGCE or relevant experience (desirable)
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply
• Have the legal right to work in the UK

Pay: -30 - -35 per hour
