The Role
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team in Grays. Whether you are a graduate seeking classroom experience before starting your PGCE, or an experienced assistant looking for a new challenge, this role offers a great blend of support and responsibility. You will work closely with lead teachers to support students across the curriculum, ensuring they remain engaged and achieve their learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across various subjects.
• Support students on a 1:1 or small-group basis to help them grasp key concepts.
• Uphold the school’s high expectations for behaviour and academic engagement.
• Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a focused learning environment.
• Provide feedback to the teacher on student progress and any areas for improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people (highly desirable).
• Possess a proactive "can-do" attitude and the ability to take initiative.
• Be a strong communicator who can build quick rapport with students.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to apply for one.
• Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
