Academics are currently recruiting for a Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Cheltenham. This rewarding role as a Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant involves working closely with students across KS3 and KS4, many of whom require additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, and accessing the curriculum.

The Role - Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant
Working as a Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant in Cheltenham, you will:
- Provide targeted classroom support for students with SEN, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and complex needs
- Deliver 1:1 interventions and small group support focused on literacy, numeracy, and emotional development
- Support students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
- Use de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies
- Assist in creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in young people
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

- Experience supporting young people in any setting (education, care, youth work, coaching, etc.)
