Secondary Science Technician

CER are currently recruiting for a Science Technician, for a role starting in Sept 2025, in a secondary school in Wirral. The successful applicant will work in a school environment assisting with lesson preparation for the Science department. You will need to have good subject knowledge and previous experience is neccessary. Working as part of a team the role is to support teaching staff in delivering the practical aspect of the Science curriculum, through preparation of equipment for practical sessions. You will need to be able to plan ahead, work safely, methodically and accurately.

Science Technician duties will include:

Preparing materials for practical experiments;
Maintaining laboratories and monitoring stock;
Assisting pupils in lessons;
Health and safety checks and providing advice;
Disposing of waste materials in the appropriate manner.

The school is a forward-thinking school with supporting staff and senior leadership team. It is also easily accessible via car or public transport. Suitable for Liverpool or North Wales drivers.
