Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students during lessons, both individually and in small groups.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Helping to promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is patient, caring, and committed to helping young people succeed.
- Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Is reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
- Has previous experience working with young people or in education (desirable but not essential).
- Holds a degree or relevant qualification (beneficial but not required).
This role would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Care Workers, Youth Workers, Nursery Practitioners or graduates considering a future career in education, psychology or therapy.
