As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned work and maintaining a positive, productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and follow instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies and expectations.
• Provide guidance and support to students where appropriate, helping them stay on task and complete their work.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes, student progress, and any behavioural concerns.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in supervising groups of students and maintaining classroom discipline.
• The ability to remain calm, organised, and adaptable in a busy school environment.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people in their education.
• Availability to start ASAP.
