Secondary School Cover Manager/Administrator

Choice teachers is currently looking for a Cover Manager/General Administrator to start a long term position in a reputable school in Blackburn.

The successful candidate will ideally have strong understanding of SIMS, and preferably familiarity with Synergy.

The role will include managing daily cover arrangements, including handling staff absence requests and coordinating appropriate cover, as well as updating and maintaining finance spreadsheets relating to supply staff invoices and associated administrative processes.

The standard working hours are 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. However, for candidates with direct cover management experience, there may be a requirement to work 7:30am – 3:00pm.

The successful candidate would need to demonstrate:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work effectively under pressure
• A methodical and organised approach
• Excellent multitasking abilities
• Confidence working within a busy and fast-paced department
• Strong communication and administrative skills

Requirements:

• DBS Certificate on the update service (or able to apply for one)
• A-Level educated or equivalent (desired)

• Two professional references
• Right to work in the UK.
