As a Maths Teacher, you''ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to how our young people see themselves as learners. Whether it''s helping a pupil understand a mathematical concept they''ve previously struggled with, building their confidence with numbers or seeing them achieve something they never thought they could, you''ll be there to celebrate every step forward. Get out what you put in You''ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You''ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you''re really proud of. As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you''ll teach the National Curriculum across all secondary levels, adapting your lessons to meet the individual needs, abilities and starting points of each pupil.
