Secondary Maths Teacher - Chiswick - Full Time, Temp to Perm - September Start

A specialist school in Chiswick is looking for an experienced Secondary Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis from September.

This Secondary Maths Teacher role in Chiswick is ideal for a teacher with extensive SEN experience who can teach Maths to secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

The successful Secondary Maths Teacher will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range.

• Adapt Maths teaching and resources to meet a wide range of SEN needs.

• Have extensive experience working within a specialist SEN setting.

• Have experience working with pupils with Autism, MLD and associated communication and learning needs.

• Differentiate work effectively according to pupil ability and learning pathways.

• Teach pupils working towards functional Maths, accreditation and wider preparation for adulthood.

• Work alongside specialist staff and therapists to help pupils make progress.

• Establish positive and consistent relationships with pupils while maintaining clear classroom expectations.

The Chiswick school provides specialist education for pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The secondary curriculum includes specialist Maths teaching alongside differentiated pathways and accreditation opportunities.

The Secondary Maths Teacher will be joining a specialist environment where teaching is adapted to pupil needs and linked to EHCP outcomes.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Strong secondary Maths teaching experience.

• Extensive SEN experience is essential.

• Experience working with Autism and/or Moderate Learning Difficulties.

• A strong knowledge of differentiated Maths teaching.

• Effective classroom management skills.

• Experience adapting lessons and resources for pupils with additional needs.

• An interest in developing Maths skills within a specialist setting.

This is a full-time Secondary Maths Teacher position in Chiswick, starting in September, with the opportunity to move from temporary to permanent employment.
