About the RoleAre you a confident, resilient, and engaging professional looking to make a massive impact on the lives of young people in Blackpool?We are actively recruiting for a Secondary Behaviour Mentor to join the inclusion and pastoral team at an progressive secondary school in Blackpool for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.In this role, you won''t be doing standard classroom assistant work. Instead, you will be on the front lines of student engagement-working 1:1 and with small groups of secondary pupils (Key Stage 3 and 4) who are at risk of exclusion, struggling with emotional regulation, or facing barriers related to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your goal is to help them de-escalate, reset, and safely reintegrate back into their academic schedules.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide targeted 1:1 behavioural mentoring to students displaying challenging behaviour, disengagement, or low self-esteem.Run small-group workshops focused on emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive social interactions.De-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively using positive behaviour management and trauma-informed techniques.Work closely with the school''s Pastoral Leaders, Head of Years, and SENCO to implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.Act as a bridge between the classroom and the school''s internal inclusion centre, helping students find a calm space to catch up on work.Be a visible, approachable, and ..... full job details .....
