Client Name: Homerton University HospitalRole: Scrub NurseRates: 18.43 - 23.75 per hourShifts: Available Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00 Key Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient throughout the surgical procedure. To safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list Prepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures. Coordinate and maintain adequate stock levels of drugs, stores and implants liaising with the Theatre Manager and / Procurement. Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using various methods to ensure effective understanding. Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritise the care for patients undergoing a surgical / anaesthetic procedure. Contribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g. through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.
