Scrub Nurse Location: Cheshire

Full-time | Permanent
Salary: Up to -42,000 PAYE

I am recruiting for an experienced Scrub Nurse to join a specialist ophthalmic theatre team in Cheshire Oaks. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-volume cataract and vitreoretinal service, delivering safe, efficient and patient-focused care.

The Role

You will provide skilled scrub support across ophthalmic procedures, working closely with surgeons and the wider theatre team to ensure smooth and effective surgical lists.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scrubbing for high volume cataract surgery
  • Setting up and assisting with vitrectomy procedures
  • Preparing phaco machines and ophthalmic instrumentation
  • Supporting surgeons by anticipating and resolving intraoperative issues
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and written patient record
  • Contributing to clinical governance, audit and staff development



About You

  • Nursing degree or equivalent
  • Current registration with the NMC
