Scientist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Scientist to join a small biotechnology company that develop and supply PCR kits, to be based at their site in Harlow, Essex on a permanent basis.
This role- would suit someone with a solid technical foundation, proven laboratory competence, and a can do attitude.

The role:

• Provide technical support to customers via email and phone, and occasionally in person.
• Design, optimisation, and validation of PCR-based genotyping assays.
• DNA extraction, quantification, and quality assessment.
• Contribute to internal R&D and new product development projects.
• Perform QC testing of reagents, PCR master mixes, and instrumentation.

Your Background:

• A degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Plant Science, or a related biological discipline.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory.
• Experience with PCR and standard DNA handling techniques.
