Our client, a specialist in construction products and testing, is looking for a Scientist to join their fire test laboratory team initially on a temporary basis.This is a UKAS accredited facility carrying out a range of fire testing services that help keep buildings and the people in them safe. No two days look the same: one minute you could be setting up a test rig, the next analysing results and writing up reports, or speaking directly with a customer about how their test is progressing. It''s practical, physical work, so you''ll need to be just as comfortable using lifting equipment, a broom and shovel as you are in front of a laptop or in front of a customer. Teamwork is a big part of how this lab operates, so you''ll be working closely with colleagues day to day.What you''ll be doingCarrying out fire testing activities from start to finish, including setting up rigs and equipment ahead of a testAnalysing test data and writing up clear, accurate reports that customers and colleagues can rely onLiaising directly with customers, keeping them updated on test progress, timelines and results, and answering their queries along the wayActing as a point of contact for customers on site during testing, ..... full job details .....
