The work they do is vital to supporting the research into disease and enabling new treatments across all disease areas.Due to internal needs, they are seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage a team of Sourcing staff. This is a full-time and permanent position requiring someone with previous management experience, a good understanding of procurement and sourcing best practices and a knowledge of biological sciences. The RoleAs a Scientific Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:Leading the sourcing team (3 direct reports). You will be responsible for their continuous development, progression plans and day-to-day workload management.Overseeing the procurement of biospecimens for client orders and projects.Optimising inventory, including the management of reorder points, minimum order quantity, forecasting of needs etc to reduce lead times for customers.Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers (both internal and external).Negotiation of contracts with existing and new suppliers, including costs and pricing.
