We''re looking for a Science Tutor to support children and young people across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you''ll help learners develop their understanding of Science while building confidence, engagement, and academic progress. Many of the students we support require alternative educational provision and benefit from a personalised approach that makes learning accessible, engaging, and rewarding.

We''re particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: -2530 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years'' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of one or more Science disciplines
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex

You''ll work with children and young people who may have:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Anxiety and school avoidance
• EHCPs and additional educational needs

Each learner will have their own strengths, challenges, and goals, requiring a flexible and personalised approach to support their educational journey.
