Science Technician - Wandsworth - September start Start Date: September 2026Contract: Full time, term time onlyPay: £15 - £20 per hourLocation: Wandsworth, South West London Purpose of the RoleAt Remedy we are looking for a science technician to support the effective delivery of science education within a school in Wandsworth by preparing practical materials, maintaining laboratories and equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance, and assisting teaching staff in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for pupils.Key ResponsibilitiesPractical Preparation and Lesson SupportPrepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.Support teachers during practical sessions when required, including demonstrations of equipment use.Develop and trial practical activities and resources to support curriculum delivery.Laboratory ManagementMaintain laboratories, prep rooms, and storage areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.Ensure accurate stock control of chemicals, consumables, and equipment; place orders as needed in consultation with the Head of Science.Carry out routine calibration, testing, and maintenance of equipment.Person SpecificationEssentialExperience working in a laboratory environment (school, industrial, or academic).Good scientific knowledge across at least one discipline (biology, chemistry, or physics).Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads ..... full job details .....
