About the Role
A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in West London is looking for a committed Science Technician to join their science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or experienced lab technicians who enjoy supporting science education.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing science apparatus, materials, and equipment for lessons.
Supporting practical experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Maintaining stock control, ordering resources, and managing the prep room.
Ensuring the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and equipment.
Assisting staff and students with practical work and technical queries.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.
Requirements
A degree in Science (any discipline) or equivalent experience.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures in laboratories.
Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to support secondary education.
Previous school-based experience is advantageous but not essential.
