The Role
A secondary school in Sandwell is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join its Science department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills, curiosity, and confidence while supporting them in preparing for their GCSE Science qualifications.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and academic achievement while helping students reach their full potential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a genuine passion for science and inspiring young people
