Position Overview:
Supply Desk is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in central Portsmouth to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher. This long-term opportunity begins in September 2025 and runs through December 2025, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within a dynamic and supportive Science department. This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners alike. The school is also open to applications from unqualified teachers or non-specialists with relevant experience in secondary Science education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Science lessons that inspire curiosity and scientific thinking
Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
Support curriculum development and departmental goals
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment
