We''re working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Borehamwood, celebrated for its academic excellence, inclusive values, and supportive learning community.
The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting iASAP. This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a genuine passion for making science engaging, accessible, and meaningful to all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver dynamic and hands-on Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is preferred
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes inquiry and curiosity
Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress
Contribute to curriculum development and share resources within the department
Support students through their GCSE preparation, including coursework and revision
Encourage student participation in STEM clubs, science fairs, and enrichment activities
Engage actively in school life and foster connections with the wider school community
Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (strong unqualified applicants will also be considered)
Has experience teaching Science at secondary level
Brings excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
Adopts a creative, student-centred teaching approach
