Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bushey from September. This is a full-time position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to grow within a supportive and high-achieving school.

Job Description:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitable candidates).
• Plan and assess lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, supporting students of all abilities.
• Inspire a love of science through creative teaching and practical experiments.
• Contribute to the planning and development of the Science curriculum within the department.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support academic achievement.
• Ensure high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
• Support and participate in extracurricular science activities and school-wide STEM initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attend meetings, and engage in ongoing CPD opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
• Be able to inspire curiosity and independent thinking in students.
• Possess strong behaviour management and organisational skills.
• Be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
