About the Role:
- Deliver stimulating Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach confidently within your science specialism, tailoring lessons to accommodate the diverse needs of learners.
- Cultivate a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and a passion for scientific exploration.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations, emphasizing both subject knowledge and exam strategies.
- Track student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support continuous academic growth.
- Collaborate closely with Science department colleagues to design innovative and effective curriculum plans.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification in Science (candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant experience may also be considered).
- Proven experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools, with a demonstrated ability to enhance student achievement.
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum, especially in your specialist area.
- Excellent classroom management skills, capable of engaging and supporting students with diverse abilities and needs.
- Proactive and collaborative team player, committed to working with colleagues to drive student success.
