Science Teacher

We are working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Wigan seeking a dedicated Science specialist to join their team as soon as possible. This role will run through to the end of the summer term, providing stability and continuity for the right candidate. Specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are all welcome to apply. You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and support strong academic progress. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessonsTeaching your subject specialism where possibleSupporting students preparing for GCSE examinationsMaintaining a positive and focused classroom environmentAssessing progress and providing constructive feedbackWorking collaboratively with the Science department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience teaching Science in UK secondary schoolsStrong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or PhysicsExcellent classroom management skillsA commitment to raising attainment and engagement We welcome applications from all Science specialisms - your expertise is valued, and flexibility is available depending on departmental needs.
