Role OverviewThe Science Teacher will deliver outstanding teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role involves planning and marking curriculum work, delivering both theory and practical Science lessons, and providing some general cover when needed.The school is open to employing either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a qualified Science Teacher. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and adhere strictly to school policies.ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and PhysicsAssess and mark students'' work promptly and constructivelyManage and maintain effective classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environmentAdapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils with moderate learning difficultiesCollaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Science curriculumSupport school policies and procedures related to safeguarding and pupil welfareProvide general cover duties as requiredCandidate RequirementsHold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., BA Hons)Eligibility to work in the UK or UK residencyPrevious experience working with children, ideally in a Science teaching roleExperience teaching both theory and practical Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and ..... full job details .....
