Science Teacher Location: Weston-super-Mare Pay: £168.80 - £252.47 per day Type: Maternity Cover to Dec 2026 Hours: Full-time Start date: ASAP/Jan 2026 Elementa is recruiting for a Teacher of Science for this popular Secondary School in Weston-super-Mare. This school is looking for maternity cover until December 2026, starting in January, or earlier if you are available. The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to deliver engaging and comprehensive Science lessons that contribute to the educational success of students. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across different disciplines including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and contribute to a vibrant school community. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the Science curriculum and implement innovative teaching strategies. Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS). Demonstrable experience teaching Science at the secondary level. A strong background in Science subjects, with the ability to teach Physics, Chemistry, and Biology effectively.
