Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: -170 - -250 per day depending on experience (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

Ivy Resource Group is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a secondary school in Devizes from 20th November 2026 until Christmas, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial booking.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher who is passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts and encouraging curiosity within the classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular focus on Biology.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Utilise your Biology specialism to support students'' understanding and achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all abilities.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and classroom engagement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Has strong subject knowledge, particularly within Biology.
• Can confidently teach Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Has strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for students.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
