What you'll be doing:

• You'll be designing and delivering engaging Chemistry lessons at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (A-level), alongside broader Science teaching.
• As Second in Science, you will support the Head of Department with curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and staff development, with a focus on Chemistry.
• It's about fostering rigorous scientific inquiry, encouraging practical experimentation, and developing students' analytical and problem-solving skills.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Chemistry.
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry effectively across the secondary age range, with a track record of strong student outcomes.
• Demonstrable leadership experience or a clear readiness to step into a Second in Department role.
• A deep and current understanding of the Science curriculum, excellent laboratory skills, and a commitment to innovative teaching methods.
• Strong communication skills, effective classroom management, and a genuine ability to inspire scientific curiosity.
