Academics are a specialist education recruitment agency and are recruiting a Science Teacher to work on a flexible, temporary, ongoing basis across a variety of secondary schools.

The role will provide an excellent platform for you to share your passion for Science and inspire secondary students across a variety of schools.

Position: Science Teacher

Location: Worksop

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: -140 - -195 per day (Dependent on experience, training and qualifications, paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

The Role: You will deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 & KS4, helping pupils develop their knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of schools in Worksop, gaining valuable experience while making a positive impact on students'' education.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 & KS4
• Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom routines
• Support pupils'' progress, attainment and engagement
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different pupils
• Follow school planning, curriculum expectations and safeguarding procedures
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their interest in Science

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ recognised teaching qualification
• Previous experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• A genuine passion for Science and educating young people
