Science Curriculum LeadDepartment: R.E.A.L Independent SchoolsLocation: All R.E.A.L Education SitesReports to: Head of Quality of EducationContract: Full-Time, PermanentRole PurposeTo support and maintain high levels of learner engagement through the collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible Science curriculum.The role requires a collaborative and multi-agency approach to education, with a strong focus on learner engagement, safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and achieving positive outcomes for young people.Key ResponsibilitiesAct in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, including the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy.Advocate for young people and their families and encourage learners to participate in decision-making and the management of their programmes.Take responsibility for the assessment, preparation, delivery and review of learners'' Science curriculum, including lesson planning.Provide a range of teaching approaches and opportunities to promote engagement with learning.Lead the Science curriculum area, including the development of schemes of work, lesson plans and resources.Provide curriculum advice to teaching colleagues regarding learners'' individual programmes.Ensure the Science curriculum follows the termly direction provided by the designated Head Teacher.Maintain awareness of safeguarding procedures and work appropriately with the Designated Safeguarding Officer.Ensure the safety and ..... full job details .....
