Birmingham (Hybrid Working - Driving Required) 6-Month ContractAbout the RoleWe are currently recruiting four Schools Finance Officers to support Birmingham-based schools and academies in delivering effective financial management and governance.This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with headteachers, school Business Managers, and governing bodies, providing expert financial advice and strategic support across a range of educational settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide financial support and advice to schools and academies to ensure effective budget managementUndertake budget planning and financial monitoring visits, including schools with local payment and cheque book facilitiesProduce accurate and timely financial reports for Governing Bodies and senior leadership teamsAttend and present at Governing Body and Finance Committee meetingsSupport schools with financial systems and interpretation of financial dataIdentify and implement process and system improvementsBuild strong relationships with stakeholders across schools, academies, and external organisationsEnsure delivery of services in line with Service Level Agreements and contractsWhat We''re Looking ForYou will be a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong understanding of school funding and financial practices.
