Hours: Part-time, term time only, 20 hours per week, school run shifts 7.30am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm

About the Role:
As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely transporting service users, including individuals with special needs, to various venues across and outside the city. You''ll drive passenger-carrying vehicles of up to 17 seats, ensuring comfort and safety for all passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive vehicles safely and professionally while adhering to road traffic laws.
• Assist service users in boarding and alighting, particularly those with mobility impairments.
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the vehicle, ensuring it is well-equipped for each journey.
• Show compassion and customer focus, providing a comfortable and respectful experience for all passengers.
• Handle any necessary equipment for wheelchair users, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Record incidents and communicate any issues to supervision promptly.
• Plan efficient routes, taking into account the needs of service users and any changes.

What We''re Looking For:

• A valid category D1 Driving Licence is essential.
• Driver CPC is desirable but not required.
• A compassionate and patient demeanor, especially when interacting with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
