School Technician: Food Technology

Westminster Academy is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support a thriving department that values creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. As a Food Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting practical lessons, maintaining a safe and well-equipped learning environment, and ensuring students and staff have the resources they need for outstanding teaching and learning experiences. The working basis of the position is Term Time + 1 week inset, 37.5 hours per week. You''ll receive an annual salary of £24,627 (based on a full-time equivalent salary of £28,161). Key Responsibilities: Prepare and organise ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical food technology lessons. Assist in lessons and demonstrations, supporting student learning in a safe and engaging environment. Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are met, including regular equipment checks and maintenance. Monitor stock levels, process orders, and manage deliveries. Maintain clean, safe and functional food technology classrooms and resources. Support the department during practical assessments and examinations. Contribute to the continued development of the department''s curriculum and facilities. What We''re Looking For: Essential: A good level of education (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
