Key Responsibilities as a School Support Worker

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners with autism and additional needs.
• Support non-verbal learners with communication, sensory activities and learning tasks.
• Provide personal and intimate care where required.
• Follow individual learning and care plans.
• Encourage participation, independence and positive daily routines.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal School Support Worker

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, autism or complex needs.
• Background in education, care, support work or a similar setting.
• Confidence and willingness to provide personal and intimate care.
• A patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
