School Support Worker - Aylesbury

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to support children and young people with additional and complex needs within a specialist educational setting. This is a great opportunity for experienced support workers, care professionals, teaching assistants or anyone with relevant SEN experience who is looking for part-time and flexible work within education.

The role involves supporting learners with autism, communication difficulties and complex needs, including non-verbal learners, helping them access education in a safe, structured and nurturing environment.

Key Details

• Location: Aylesbury
• Pay: -14.5015.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Hours: Part-time and flexible - days can be discussed around your availability
• Contract: Temporary, ad-hoc work with opportunities for regular ongoing work
• Start: Immediate

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with autism and additional needs
• Support non-verbal learners with communication, sensory activities and learning tasks
• Provide personal and intimate care where required
• Follow individual learning and care plans
• Support learners to engage positively with their education and daily routines
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals
• Help create a calm, supportive and inclusive environment

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK - unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship
• Availability to work on a part-time or flexible basis
• Experience supporting autistic and/or non-verbal learners, ideally within a school, care or specialist setting
• Comfortable providing personal and intimate care
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
