This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who enjoys working in a busy school environment and takes pride in ensuring facilities are safe, secure, and well maintained.The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the school site, helping to create a safe and positive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.Duties as a Site Assistant:Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks across the school siteAssist with the opening and closing of school buildings when requiredEnsure the school premises remain safe, clean, secure, and well presentedSupport health and safety procedures and report any concerns promptlyUndertake routine checks of school facilities, equipment, and groundsAssist with setting up rooms and facilities for school events and activitiesLiaise with contractors and visitors attending the siteRespond promptly to maintenance requests from staffSupport site security procedures and emergency arrangements where necessaryCarry out other reasonable duties as directed by the school leadership teamIdeal Site Assistant:Previous experience within a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site assistant roleGood practical DIY and maintenance skillsUnderstanding of health and safety responsibilities within a workplaceAbility to work independently and manage workloads ..... full job details .....
