We have a Health and Justice Services Directorate, within which sits the ‘Children and Young People’ Service line working in partnership with ‘Youth Custody Service’ colleagues to provide responsive, trauma-informed primary care, mental health, neuro-developmental and substance misuse services to the young people and young adults within our care.Main duties of the job
Work closely with the children who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how children experience our services. Provide a comprehensive school nursing service and work as part of an integrated healthcare service which includes primary care, mental health, substance misuse and a sexual behaviour service. Expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:keeping the children who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessmentsensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and proceduresensuring the children using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning processWe believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working well together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care.
