School Library Technician / Stone / November Start / Fixed-Term Contract Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, are currently recruiting on behalf of a school in Stone, Staffordshire, who are looking for a School Library Technician to join their team from November.This is approx. an 8-week fixed-term position, working Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-4:30pm, and Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm, covering an absence and including a short handover period.The Role:Managing the issuing and returning of books and maintaining accurate library recordsSupporting pupils and staff using the library, including supervising small groupsOperating reprographic equipment, including printing, photocopying, laminating and bindingSupporting general administration and IT-based tasksSupervising pupils and maintaining appropriate behaviour in the libraryProviding emergency first aid support to pupils with the wider team of first aidersRequirements: Organised, reliable and able to work independentlyConfident working with children and adultsExperience in an administrative, supervisory, library or school-based roleComfortable using IT and reprographic equipmentMethodical with strong attention to detailAble to promote a positive and well-managed environment for pupilsWhy Academics?
